FAYETTEVILLE — Luke Seate and Jarrod Pittman of the Scotland men’s golf team took part in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association’s 3A Mideast Regional at Highland Country Club on Monday, with Pittman teeing off at 10:35 a.m. and Seate taking his first swing at 10:45 a.m.

The score to qualify individually for the state championships was 82; and while Pittman was close to qualifying, neither were able to hit the mark, as Pittman finished with an 86 and Seate closed with a 96.

Union Pines’ Tad Caddell, who scored an 81 and finished in a tie with four other players for third, was the only player from a Sandhills Athletic Conference school to qualify individually for the state championships.

The result ends the season for the Scots, as they are not expected to qualify for the state championships.
