LAURINBURG — Hunter Edkins of the Scotland boys soccer team was named to the North Carolina Soccer Coaches Association All-Region 4 team.
Edkins, who scored six goals as a senior this season, was also named to the all-Sandhills Athletic Conference team after the Fighting Scots finished 3-16 in their first year under head coach Blake Dickerson.
Over 200 coaches throughout the state have memberships with the NCSCA. In addition to picking all-region and all-state teams, The NCSCA also advocates for its members by communicating with several high school sports organizations throughout North Carolina.
