TAKOMA PARK, Md. – The St. Andrews University men’s basketball team lost 80-54 against Washington Adventist on Thursday evening.
Washington Adventist (6-5) started the game with an 8-0 run that resulted from several turnovers by the Knights (4-9) within the first two minutes of the contest.
The Knights eventually tied the game with nine minutes left until the halftime. The Shock took a 28-26 lead at intermission.
St. Andrews shot for 31 percent from the field in the first half. Washington Adventist shot 30 percent from the field.
The Shock hit 50 percent of their field goals as they pulled away from the Knights in the second half.
The Knights were led by junior forward Cameron Grigsby, who finished with a team-high 11 points, 10 rebounds and four steals. Junior Luis Rossi and senior guard Christian Lathan tallied eight points apiece.
