A recent letter to the editor called into question whether the Rev. Malcolm (Mac) Doubles, retired Presbyterian minister who once studied Aramaic (the language of Jesus), was aware of the world in which he lives.
Dr. Doubles is fully aware of the world in which we all live: a world in which President Donald J. Trump hosts private meetings in the White House with Russian staff and reportedly informs them that he is not concerned about interference in our election process; meets with Russian President Vladimir Putin in chambers whereby the only press available are Russian and the translator is required to destroy all notes; abuses his power with the help of William Barr to attempt to jail individuals who have been involved in any investigation which is related to Trump (e.g. McCabe); instructs his staff to ignore subpoenas; declares that the press is “the enemy of the people”; loosely tosses out words like “treason” and “coup” when he is simply talking about political opponents; has his own news agency that does his bidding and with whom he (Trump) states outright who should be fired (e.g. Cavuto) who said something he didn’t like; pulls military out of a region and leaves allies stranded to fend for themselves based on a 2am phone call (of course he left a few soldiers behind to guard oil fields); hosts pep rallies that most individuals left behind in high school; created a propaganda video in which an enlarged Trump is seen walking across a an active battlefield portraying himself as a hero when actually a doctor diagnosed “bone spurs” that kept him from serving in Vietnam (though he continued to excel at sports per his report); “fell in love” with a murderous dictator because that same dictator wrote him a “beautiful letter”; stated in 2016 that the election was “rigged, unless I win”; has stated that he intends to be President for life; has spent an estimated $287 million tax payer dollars to support all the staff he needs on his golf weekends while criticizing Obama for too much golfing; … and many others, but I am nearing the 400-word maximum.
The only hoax is our electoral college system, which allowed Donald J. Trump, who received some 3 million fewer votes than Hillary Clinton, to serve as president of the United States.
