I am writing in response to all the negative criticism that has been in your paper two times last week — and front page at that — about a well-known person who’s cared about and respected by so many people in the community.

Regardless of the information you seem to know so much about, do you know that a lot of people, maybe even someone close to you or that you know, makes mistakes — but you don’t or would not put that in your paper for everyone to see and read about, would you?

Maybe some things are true, but you don’t put someone down for that, you encourage them to do better.

What I am trying to get across to you is this: Dr. Matthew Block is a fine, dedicated cardiologist who has helped so many people in this community, including myself, for years and he still does if you would see the people in his office every day.

I’m sorry, because I don’t usually respond to things written in your newspaper, but I am very upset that you are treating Dr. Block this way — and NO, he does not deserve it.

Remember, as Jesus said: “He who is without sin, cast the first stone.”

It is sad when the biggest thing you can write about is to try and degrade someone. Can’t you find something happy or to uplift someone?
