LAURINBURG – A resident of Vance Street reported to police that someone entered a storage building and took a push mower, stereo speakers, a speaker box and an amplifier total value $3,000.
LAURINBURG – A resident of Collingwood Drive reported to police that someone stole a cellphone, sunglasses, and cigarettes total value $170 from a vehicle.

Fraud
LAURINBURG – A resident of Blake Circle reported to police that someone made unauthorized charges to his credit card after he gave the company the card number to buy a computer protection plan.
Larceny
LAURINBURG – A resident of Laurinburg reported to police that she left her purse in the choir loft at Bethlehem Baptist Church on Stewartsville Road and returned to find it and her cellphone gone total value $800.
LAURINBURG – A resident of Peden Street reported to police that someone stole a license plate valued at $20 off of his 2017 Ford F-350.
LAURINBURG – A resident of Hall Street reported to police that someone stole the license plate valued at $15 from her 2002 Saturn.
LAUREL HILL – An employee of Dollar General on Ida Mill Road reported to the sheriff’s office that someone went into the break room and stole her purse containing cash, a credit card, checkbook, identification and medications total value $1,380.
Assault
LAURINBURG – An employee of Nic’s Pic Kwik number two on Main Street reported to police that a woman came into the store an became irate with her and threw a beer can at her.
Pearlie Patterson, 62, of Laurinburg was charged with simple assault and damage to property and given a $500 secured bond, according to police.
Vandalism
LAURINBURG – A resident of Church Street reported to police that someone broke a window out of the home causing $30 in damages.
LAURINBURG – A resident of Cotton Drive reported to police that someone broke a window out of the home valued at $300.
LAURINBURG – A resident of Creed Road reported to the sheriff’s office that someone vandalized her Dodge Charger by breaking a window, putting sugar in the gas tank, damaging a headlight and tires and scratching the paint leaving $2,966 in damages.
Arrests
GIBSON – Melek McLeod, 22, of Main Street was charged with one misdemeanor count of assault on a female and one misdemeanor count of communicating threats and given a $3,000 secured bond, according to the sheriff’s office.
LAURINBURG –Bridget Bracey, 17, of Clinton Inn was charged with larceny at Walmart and given a $2,000 bond, according to the police.
LAURINBURG – Stacey Dimery, 20, of Sunset Drive ran from police after being pulled over fora traffic violation. Dimery was charged with driving while license revoked, and resist delay and obstruct and officer and given a $1,000 secured bond, according to police.
LAURINBURG – Gregory Brown, of Alpha Street was charged with driving while impaired and given a written promise to appear.
