LAURINBURG — A shooting Friday evening led to a Laurinburg man being air-lifted to a hospital out of the county.
Laurinburg Police Officers responded to a shots fired call on Bizzell Street around 5 p.m. Officers located the 30-year-old victim lying in the yard of a residence there with a gunshot wound to the left thigh and another in his upper back.
The man’s wounds were initially considered to be life-threatening when he was air-lifted but, according to police, he was in stable condition as of Monday.
Officers have taken out arrest warrants on 37-year-old Cliff Andrew McLean, who they believe to be the shooter. McLean is considered to be armed and dangerous.

Police still don’t know what led to the shooting, and the investigation is continuing.
