Break-in

LAURINBURG — A resident of Wagram Road reported to the sheriff’s office Wednesday that someone had entered his home and stabbed him multiple times with a box cutter. Isaiah Fields, 20, of Milestone Road was arrested in connection to the event. He was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and breaking and entering. He wasn’t given a bond.

Larceny

LAUREL HILL — Nic’s Pic Kwik on Andrew Jackson Highway reported to the sheriff’s office on Wednesday that they believed that an employee stole $250 from the register. The incident is under investigation.

LAURINBURG — A roofing contractor working on a home on South Pine Street reported to the police department on Wednesday that 20 packs of timberline shingles were taken from the client’s home valued at $423.

LAURINBURG — Canady’s Termite and Pest Control on Atkinson Street reported to the sheriff’s office on Wednesday that someone had used one of their fleet gas cards without authorization. There is a suspect and the case is under investigation.

Drug possession

LAURINBURG — The sheriff’s office reported that an individual was found at Nicky’s Stop and Shop on Hasty Road Wednesday to be in possession of both marijuana and a Schedule II substance.
