LAURINBURG — Team DAAB held its third annual Back to School Bullying Seminar on Saturday at Anointing House of Deliverance Church.
About 25 participated in the event, and the Changing the Game Motorcycle Club donated school supplies.
“We had the assistant principal from South Johnson school Mrs.Tanya McLean who talked with kids and parents about the meaning of bullying and how in the school that it’s a process — and that we as parents need to know the process,” said Willie Mae Dockery, one of the event organizers.
In all, there were four speakers who came to encourage the children and their parents — including such messages as know yourself, be yourself, love yourself, stay focused, talk to an reliable friend, say NO to bullying, say YES I will tell.
