North Carolina Supreme Court Justice Allison Riggs came through Scotland County Monday and met with leadership to discuss issues faced in the judicial system. Riggs was recently appointed to the Supreme Court by Governor Roy Cooper in September. She filled a spot made vacant after Democratic Justice Michael Morgan resigned. Riggs previously served as a judge on the Court of Appeals.
