LAURINBURG — A meeting for those interested in joining Scotland County’s Lady Legion softball program will be held on Thursday at 6 p.m. in Scotland High’s media center.
Numerous Lady Legion teams throughout the state have been established. The concept of American Legion softball is still relatively new in North Carolina, but the league’s participation numbers have continued to grow over the past couple of years.
Athletes must be rising ninth graders or older to join the team. Athletes will not be eligible to participate if they turn 20 before Aug. 2.
