SANFORD — Scotland’s softball team logged 12 hits in a 9-1 victory at Lee County on Monday.
Kassee Lowe went 3-for-4 with three RBIs, a double and a run scored for the Lady Scots. Olivia Hyatt was 3-for-5 with three runs scored. Kadence Sheppard was 2-for-4 with three runs scored.
In the circle, Kinsley Sheppard picked up seven strikeouts and yielded three hits in a complete game for the Lady Scots.
Scotland (7-3) improved to 4-1 away from Laurinburg. They also stretched their winning streak to four games. Lee County (1-4) lost its second straight game after picking up its first win of the season on March 19 at Harnett Central.
Scotland will play at Seventy-First at 6 p.m. on Tuesday. They will return to Laurinburg for a game against the Lady Falcons at 6 p.m. on Friday.
