RAEFORD — Scotland’s boys golf team finished in third place out of seven teams in a Sandhills Athletic Conference match at Bayonet Golf Club on Monday.
Seniors Nick Thompson and Mason High both carded a 78 for Scotland. Juniors Andrew Hartwell and Ian Smith shot an 87 and 96, respectively.
Sophomore Walter Bounds and freshman Marcus Godwin both shot a 99 for the Fighting Scots, who posted a team score of 339. They finished behind Purnell Swett (328) and Pinecrest (287). Jack Britt (340) finished in fourth place, and they were followed by Richmond (368), Hoke (369) and Lumberton (503). Seventy-First did not have enough golfers to score as a team.
