President Biden’s administration has been wrong every time

The last seven months have produced nothing but disappointment, embarrassment and hardship for Americans. Of late, the latest jobs report has been dismal while inflation continues to rise. The price of fuel and groceries increase daily while our brothers and sisters from LA to NY struggle to recover from the damage produced by Hurricane Ida. Furthermore, crime continues to grow in many of our urban cities that chose to implement measures for defund the police.

Amid all the strife that we are dealing with domestically, we also endured the embarrassment of implementing an ill planned exit of Afghanistan. The poor planning of this evacuation resulted in the loss of the lives of thirteen of our young, dedicated military servicemembers. The loss of life for these thirteen military members was unnecessary. Additional ramifications that resulted from the haphazard withdrawal plan from Afghanistan was the desertion of additional Americans (total unknown) that were left in Afghanistan as well as the desertion of our allies and the Afghani’s who assisted the US in our mission over the past 20 years.

As if the loss of 13 young American patriots was not enough, we have never stranded fellow Americans in a foreign land, until now. To further the disappointment, the Biden Administration has not presented or mentioned any effort to lead in the recovery of these abandoned Americans.

So what was the ‘great accomplishment’ of this exodus that was touted by President Biden? Well, of the 120K people that were evacuated, less than 10% were Americans or American-friendly Afghans that had assisted us as translators. We have about 110K people that were evacuated from Afghanistan that have no records and our state department is trying to expedite visas for these “non-existent” people.

I didn’t even take the opportunity to further detail the ramifications of the continued open southern border of the US, COVID or the $90B gift to the Taliban of state of the art military equipment that was left in Afghanistan for them … but what else could go wrong? I understand the value of Secretary of Defense (Dr) Gates statement in his memoir more everyday when he said, “I think he (Biden) has been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades.”
