LAURINBURG – A resident of Aberdeen Road reported to police on Sunday that someone broke into the home and stole a purse and contents valued at $35.
LAURINBURG – A resident of Atkinson Street reported to police on Friday that someone broke into a storage building and stole a pressure washer, weed eater, and lawn mower valued at $680.
LAURINBURG – A resident of Crepe Myrtle Avenue reported to police on Friday that someone broke into a storage shed and stole a lawn mower valued at $300.
LAURINBURG – A resident of Honey Street reported to police on Friday that someone broke into his Ford Ranger and stole a cell phone valued at $200.
MARSTON – A resident of Gum Swamp Road reported to the sheriff’s office on Saturday that someone broke into a storage building and stole a four-wheeler ATV valued $3,000.
EAST LAURINBURG – A resident of Fourth Street reported to the sheriff’s office on Saturday that someone broke into a storage building and took an air compressor, loading ramps and a tool box valued at $400 and left $250 in damage to the building.
Larceny
LAURINBURG – A customer at Walmart reported to police on Saturday that she left money in an ATM at around 2:55 p.m. and returned to find it gone.
LAURINBURG – An employee of Tractor Supply in Holly Square Shopping Center reported to police on Saturday that a man wearing a black hat, white t-shirt, and blue jeans entered the store, took a LED light bar and left without paying. The man was seen leaving the parking lot in a tan SUV with a North Carolina tag.
LAURINBURG – An employee of Lowes Home Improvement reported to police that on Thursday that a man standing six feet one inch tall, with a thin build, full beard and dark hair entered the store, took a DeWalt combo tool kit valued at $300 and left without paying.
LAURINBURG – A resident of Corona Avenue reported to police on Friday that someone stole a rifle valued at $200 from the property. The resident left the rifle on the porch for a moment and returned to see someone walking away with it. Police have a person of interest in the case.
Vandalism
LAURINBURG – An employee of Walmart reported to police on Saturday that someone cut the wires on a motorized shopping cart and threw the cart into the dumpster behind Sally Beauty Supply.
LAURINBURG – A resident of Florence South Carolina reported to police on Saturday that someone broke the rear window out of her 2000 Honda leaving $500 in damages.
Arrests
LAURINBURG – Tony McKinnon, 54, of Blakely Road, was arrested on charges of simple assault and given a $500 secured bond, according to police.
LAURINBURG – Montricia Stewart, 25, of Beta Street, was arrested on charges of simple assault and trespassing and given a written promise to appear, according to police.
LAURINBURG – Danielle Royal, 18, of Laurel Hill, was arrested on charges of simple assault, and disorderly conduct for a fight in the parking lot at Wendy’s on Main Street and given a $500 secured bond, according to police.
