Larceny

— A resident of the Scottish Glen apartment complex notified the police department on Thursday afternoon that someone stole his Craftsman Bluetooth radio, valued at $280.

— Police were notified Thursday about a bottle of medication, valued at $10, being stolen from an individual’s pocketbook in the ER waiting room at Scotland Memorial Hospital.

Shooting

— Police responded to Washington Avenue at about 8:30 p.m. on Thursday on a reported shooting. The victim was a 26-year-old female, who had a single gunshot wound from a 9mm handgun that was not considered life-threatening. She was transported to the hospital for treatment. Police are not revealing her identity, but said the shooting appeared to be accidental. Laurinburg police and the State Bureau of Investigation are investigating the incident.

Arrests

— A suspicious vehicle call to the police department resulted in the arrest of James Beasley, 22, of Jackson, Mississippi, who was it the vehicle on Stewartsville Road on Thursday. The silver Chevrolet Trailblazer was reported stolen out of Greenville, South Carolina. Beasley was charged with felony possession of a stolen vehicle and given a $5,000 bond.

— Quavay Pearson, 19, of Fourth Street was arrested Thursday on an outstanding warrant for first-degree trespassing and injury to real property. He was given a $2,000 bond.

— Israel Fields, 18, of Ashley Drive was arrested on a warrant for first-degree trespassing and injury to real property. He was given a $2,000 bond.
