Sept. 11 marks the 20th anniversary of the tragic attack upon American soil in New York and Washington. The Laurinburg Exchange will be commemorating that event with a special section filled with the thoughts and memories of local residents.
Below are a number of questions we hope you will respond to. Please keep your responses to 50 words or less.
— Were you in NYC at that time, and why?
— Did you or anyone you know work in the towers?
— Were you vacationing in New York at the time?
— Were you part of an emergency response crew that went to NYC or Washington?
— Were any of your relatives impacted?
— Did you join the military because of the attack?
— Do you remember where you were and what your thoughts were on that day?
