LAURINBURG — The Laurinburg Police Department made four arrests this week in connection to reports of larceny from Bath & Body Works.
According to a press release, the first report was on Sept. 6 where 41 assorted candles valued at $1,004.50 were taken and then on Sept. 11 when $735 of assorted product was taken. The women fled in a grey in color Ford Fusion and Laurinburg Police were able to intercept the vehicle with the stolen items inside.
Arrested were 22-year-old Taniah Sanchez McRae of Charlotte Street, 43-year-old Tawanda McRae of East Vance Street, 20-year-old Lasheimia Bridges of Charlotte Street and 27-year-old Jawanna Lanae Smith of Wagram Street.
Taniah McRae was charged with felony larceny, conspiracy to commit felony larceny, felony possession of stolen goods and felony conspiracy to possess stolen goods for the Sept. 6 incident. For the Sept. 11 incident, she was charged with misdemeanor larceny, conspiracy to commit misdemeanor larceny, misdemeanor possession of stolen goods and misdemeanor conspiracy to possess stolen goods.
For both larceny’s she was charged with felony organized retail theft and was also served warrants from the South Pines Police Department felony organized retail theft and the Sanford Police Department for three counts of felony larceny, three counts of felony possession of stolen property and three counts felony organized retail theft. She was given a $40,000 bond.
Tawanda McRae was charged with misdemeanor larceny, misdemeanor conspiracy to commit larceny, misdemeanor possession of stolen goods and misdemeanor conspiracy to possess stolen goods for the Sept. 11 incident. She was also served with a failure to appear warrant out of Scotland County. She was given a $6,000 bond.
Bridges was charged with felony larceny, conspiracy to commit felony larceny, felony possession of stolen goods and felony conspiracy to possess stolen goods in connection to the Sept. 6 incident. For the Sept. 11 larceny, she was charged with misdemeanor larceny, conspiracy to commit misdemeanor larceny, misdemeanor possession of stolen goods and misdemeanor to possess stolen goods.
She was also charged with felony organized retail theft in connection with both incidents and was given a $15,000 bond.
For the Sept. 6 incident, Smith was charged with felony larceny, conspiracy to commit felony larceny, felony possession of stolen goods and felony conspiracy to possess stolen goods. She was also charged with misdemeanor larceny, conspiracy to commit misdemeanor larceny, misdemeanor possession of stolen goods and misdemeanor to possess stolen goods in connection Sept. 11 larceny as well as felony organized retail theft for both incidents.
She was given a $15,000 bond.
