CORDOVA — Cordova Fire and Rescue is having a raffle to help support the department.
“First prize is a Yamaha 25 outboard engine,” said Chief Jeremy Chance, “second place is a $250 cash prize and third place is a $100 cash prize
Tickets are $20 each.
“Tickets can be purchased from any of our members, sending us a message on our Facebook page, or by emailing me at [email protected],” said Chance.
“We do offer the option to purchase tickets virtually by paying through cash app or PayPal,” added Chance. “To take advantage of these options please contact us for instructions.”
Fire departments require constant upkeep as well as some replacement on equipment to ensure it is up to date and ready for an emergency. Raffles such as these help fund the maintenance that needs to be done.
“All funds will be used to purchase additional equipment for our swift water rescue team,” said Chance.
You do not have to be present to win. The fire department will do the drawing live on its Facebook page and notify the winners following the drawing.
“We are appreciative of the support we are receiving and we look forward to serving our community for years to come,” said Chance.
“The drawing will take place once all tickets have been sold, ” continued Chance. “We are only selling 250 tickets and currently we have sold about 40% of those tickets.”
