LAURINBURG — The Scotland football team took the field Friday night for the first “Midnight Madness” event in school history.

The Scots practiced from 10 to 11:45 p.m. and more than 200 spectators watched the open session from the sidelines and the Pate Stadium bleachers.

The first official day of practice begins Saturday at 8 a.m.
