Now that Gov. Roy Cooper has announced that all K-12 schools will remain closed until May 15, it may be necessary to set up a special call number for these home-bound students to use. They could call this number to report that one or both of their parents needed a “time out” ousidet of their home.

Their parents would need to be supervised while away to ensure that they did not escape then refuse to return home when “apprehended.” A very temporary person for the students not old enough to care for themselves would be provided … perhaps parents from other homes.

Parents would somehow be prevented from calling this number themselves. Smiley face here.
