Arrest
LAURINBURG — Patrick Swann, 30, of Sally McNair Road, charged with a DUI Saturday after being stopped at a law enforcement checkpoint on U.S. 401 near Lake Drive, according to police.
LAURINBURG — Candice Ivey, 24, of Hamlet, was charged with disorderly conduct after calling police to report someone steal money from her, according to police. Upon arrival by the police, Ivey became violent towards the individual who she accused of stealing from her and police placed her into custody. A $500 bond was set.
LAURINBURG — Danielle Cerrell Armstrong, 44, of Laurel Hill, was charged on Saturday with communicating threats, according to the Sheriff’s office.
LAURINBURG — Robert George Blaise Jr., 36, of Gibson, was arrested for parole violations on Friday, the Scotland County Sheriff’s Office said.
LAURINBURG — Charles Ray Desmond, 25, was charged on Saturday with larceny and obtaining property by false pretense, according to the Scotland County Sheriff’s Office. A $5,000 unsecured bond has been set.

LAURINBURG — A business located on the 1500 block of Atkinson Street reported that a window was broken out on Sunday, according to police.
Shots fired
LAURINBURG — A home on the 400 block of McKay Street was struck several times with bullets on Sunday around 2:30 a.m., according to police. No one was injured.
Breaking and entering
LAURINBURG — A Kiser Road resident reported that $10 in coins stolen were stolen from the residence on Saturday, according to police.
LAURINBURG — A Gettysburg Circle resident reported that items had been stolen from her vehicle on Sunday, according to the sheriff’s office.
LAUREL HILL — St. Johns Church Road resident reported a break in at his home on Friday, according to the sheriff’s office. A television, table and watch were reported stolen. The stolen items were valued at $1,020.
