Officers with the Laurinburg Police Department shopped with 15 children for the seventh year of the event. Kids were given the run of Walmart, choosing everything from bikes and scooters to video games and toys — with some even grabbing Christmas gifts for family members. The students are chosen every year based on the recommendations from the school resource officers at each of the schools.
