ROCKINGHAM — Richmond County Hospice, Inc. will hosts their annual Forever Tree Lightning Ceremony on Thursday, December 1st, at 5:30 p.m. at 1119 U.S. Hwy #1 North in Rockingham.

This fundraiser has been hosted by Richmond County Hospice, Inc. for at least 10 years to raise funds for the organization’s bereavement program so that the organization can continue to offer grief support services to members of the community.

“This is the evening that we come together to honor those recognized and conduct the official tree lighting,” says Sandy Black, Bereavement Coordinator at Richmond County Hospice, Inc.

Community members are invited to purchase an ornament at $10.00 each to be placed on the tree on the front lawn either in honor or in memory of a loved one at the fundraiser.

Donations are not required to attend the event. Refreshments will be served in the conference room following the program.

Richmond County Hospice will also have a Forever Tree Lighting in Anson County on December 13th at Leavitt Funeral Home located at 2036 Morven Road in Wadesboro.
