An 18-wheeler jackknifed on Interstate 74/Andrew Jackson Highway at Dixie Guano Road in East Laurinburg on Thursday. The accident shut down both sides of the road as Laurinburg firefighters, Scotland County Sheriff’s Office, and Highway Patrol were at the scene. There no official word on what caused the wreck but heavy rains hit the area Thursday afternoon that could have contributed to the accident.
