LAURINBURG — The pre-kindergarten students of State Line Children’s World enjoyed a hands-on learning experience during their first field trip to Discovery Place KIDS this week.
The students of Laurinburg’s Children’s World Preschool made a trip to Rockingham to visit the Discovery Place. They enjoyed an educational experience away from their regular school environment.
“Every year, our students look forward to their first field trip,” said State Line Administrator Davina DeBerry. “We are fortunate to have an educational museum close by to visit with our students.”
Discovery Place, Inc. is a nonprofit educational organization that allows for the exploration of the natural and social world through exhibits and educations programs. It offers children’s museums that feature developmentally-appropriate experiences to encourage interactive learning through play.
“By participating in rich play integrated with imagination and fun, kids explore their world, discover how to get along with others, test their skills and muscles, try out new ideas and develop confidence,” DeBerry said.
