— Gibson Baptist Church will host its Christmas Cantata “O Night Divine” at 3 p.m. A time of fellowship will follow.

— Multitudes Church, located at 15301 Jim Calhoun Road in Laurinburg, will host a free outdoor Christmas event for the family, starting at 5:15 p.m. each day with the pre-show, including free hot chocolate and goodies, with the drama starting at 6:30 p.m. Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy the experience.

— Nazareth Missionary Baptist Church will present “The Little Elf Fashion Show” at 5 p.m. Everyone invited.

Dec. 16

— First United Methodist Church, located at 101 W. Main St. in Laurinburg, will host its Centennial Celebration of the Sanctuary (built in 1918) at 10 a.m. The congregation will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the building with a combined worship service — the Bishop of the Eastern Conference of the North Carolina Methodist Church, Hope Morgan Ward,will preach at this worship service. All are invited.

— Fletcher Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Laurinburg mass choir will present “Jesus is the Reason Christmas Musical” at 5 p.m. All are invited.

— New Greater Saint James Word Praise and Worship Ministries will hold a Men’s Day Service at 11 a.m. with Evangelist Pamela Williams. All are invited. Located at 900 S. Caledonia Road in Laurinburg.

— Nazareth Missionary Baptist Church will host a community senior Bingo and Brunch from noon to 2 p.m. All are invited.

Dec. 22-23

— New Hope Baptist Church, located at 11480 Hasty Road in Laurinburg, will host a Christmas Drive-Thru. There will be lots of lights, blow-ups, hot chocolate, cookies, caroling, snow scene with sledding, drama presentation, live nativity and Santa and Mrs. Claus. The event will run 6 to 8:30 p.m. each day.

Dec. 23

— House of Prayer for All People, 4520 Main St. in Gibson, will host its Christmas Fellowship Service. The Rev. Blanche Williams, pastor of Fairley Chapel Baptist Church in Laurinburg, will be preaching and accompanied by the church family. Everyone is welcome and cordially invited to come.

Dec. 24

— Lutheran Church of the Living Word, located at 1925 S. Main St. in Laurinburg, will host a Christmas Eve Service at 5:30 p.m. Please bring your Jingle Bells!

— St. David’s Episcopal Church in Laurinburg will hold a traditional, candlelight Christmas Eve service at 8 p.m. Special music will begin at 7:45 p.m. Festive refreshments will follow the service in the Parish Hall.
