LAURINBURG — Crime reports from the Laurinburg Police Department:
Friday:
Arrest —Cathy Gibson, 50, of McColl, S.C. charged with failure to return rental property and possession of stolen motor vehicle. Jailed under a $10,000 bond.
Larceny — Someone reported that assorted clothing was taken from Phritz Street.
A Kiser Road resident reported to police that someone took a Husqvarna weed trimmer from under the carport of the home.
Vandalism — A resident of Hall Street reported that someone shot the right rear passenger door of the vehicle.
Saturday
Fraud — A resident of Elm Avenue reported to police that an unknown suspect moved $5700 from the victim’s bank account to another bank account.
Break-in — A resident of Marcellus Street reported that someone broke into the residence and took two flatscreen TV’s and assorted jewelry. The suspect entered the residence through a window.
Arrest — Kenndal McElrath, 33, of Laurel Hill, charged with misdemeanor larceny and possession of drug paraphernalia, released on a $1500 bond.
Sunday:
Break-in —A St. Andrews student reported to police that someone stole an X-Box gaming system and controller from the dorm room. Police say the door was left unsecured.
- A resident of Douglas Street reported that someone stole an AR-style pistol from a motor vehicle. The suspect entered the vehicle by forced entry.
- A resident of Warren Avenue reported to police that someone broke into the residence through a window and took paint and hardware accessories.
Arrest —
John Dockery, 54. of Duncan Street, charged with assault on a female, jailed under no bond due to domestic violence.
- Gregory Graham, 53, of Purcell Street, failed to appear in Scotland County court on charges of second degree trespassing, misdemeanor larceny, driving while license revoked, jailed under a $7500 bond.
Vandalism —
A resident of South Turnpike Road reported to police that someone cut the tires on the victim’s vehicle and scratched profanity into the exterior paint.
Larceny —
A resident of Hickory Street reported to police that someone stole a wallet from the residence.
Shooting —
Someone shot into a home on Wiley Circle. Five adults and one child were inside at the time. No injuries were reported but the bullets entered through the kitchen window striking the interior wall.
