SANFORD — The Lady Scots soccer team (3-10-1, 2-9 Sandhills Athletic Conference) lost 7-0 against the Lee County Yellow Jackets (10-7-1, 7-4 SAC) Tuesday night.
Lee County led 4-0 at the half, then, scored their last three goals in the second half.
The Lady Scots host Richmond for senior night and their regular-season finale Thursday night at 7 p.m.
Scotland men’s golf gets highest finish of season in final SAC meet of year
The Scotland men’s golf team played their final regular-season Sandhills Conference meet Tuesday afternoon at Pinehurst Country Club, Course No. 6.
The Scots finished in fourth place, their highest placement of the season.
Luke Seate shot a team-best 86, while Jarrod Pittman followed behind with a 90. Jack Herr and Logan Locklear each finished with a 115, Bobby Cox put up a 116, and Montrell Smith had a 124.
The Scots will now wait to see if they have any golfers who’ve qualified for the 3A Regionals, which will be played at Hyland Country Club in Southern Pines on May 8. According to head coach David Synan, qualifiers for regionals will be announced later in the week.
