INDIANAPOLIS — With starting running back Josh Jacobs still sidelined with a quadriceps injury, Zamir White was slotted in as the starter in the backfield for the Las Vegas Raiders against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.
Although the result was a 23-20 win for the Colts, White had 20 carries for 71 yards and five catches for 35 yards on six targets. It’s the second straight week White’s rushed the ball 20 times or more; White had 22 attempts on Christmas Day against the Kansas City Chiefs.
White will have one last chance to start if Jacobs is ruled out again, as the Raiders host the Denver Broncos on Sunday in their season finale; the Raiders have already been eliminated from playoff contention with a 7-9 record, which is third in the AFC West behind the Chiefs at 10-6 and the Broncos at 8-8.
