Scots cruise past Whiteville 68-53 in Bladen Offroad Christmas Tournament

BLADENBORO— The Fighting Scots finished out the Bladen Offroad Christmas Tournament on Dec. 30 with a 68-53 win over Whiteville (1-8) in the consolation championship game. The Scots, who finished 2-1 overall in the tournament, closed out the weekend with an improved 8-2 record.

In the win over the Whiteville, Isaac Ferguson put up a team-high 29 points, and five assists. Lamonte Cousar followed behind Ferguson with 22 points and 10 rebounds.

Jaquez Caldwell had nine points and six assists on the evening, and Carter Revelle came down with 10 rebounds. Ferguson was also named an all-tournament player. The Scots will be back in action on Jan. 3, where they will take on conference foe Union Pines (6-3) in an away bout. The Scots are 2-0 in conference play and will look to improve to 3-0.
