LAURINBURG —Scotland’s boys golf team logged a fourth-place finish out of six teams at a Sandhills Athletic Conference match at Scotch Meadows on Wednesday.

Seniors Mason High and Nick Thompson paced the Fighting Scots. High carded a 76, and Thompson finished with an 80. Andrew Hartwell carded an 85, Ian Smith shot a 97, Miles Murphy carded a 113 and Jay Godwin finished with a 114.

Pinecrest finished in first place with a team score of 298. Purnell Swett (328) was the runner-up, and Jack Britt (334) finished in third. Scotland’s team score was 338.

Lumberton and Seventy-First did not participate in the match. The round was rescheduled from earlier in the week due to inclement weather.

Scotland will travel to Pinehurst next week for the final regular-season match of the year.
