Saints defeat Antioch Christian

LUMBERTON — Scotland Christian Academy’s baseball team opened its season with a 26-0 win at Antioch Christian on Thursday night. The game ended after the third inning due to the 20-run rule.

Pitchers Matt Williams, Russell Thompson and Tavon Farmer tossed a combined no-hitter for the Saints.

At the plate, Scotland Christian’s Josh Williams tallied five RBIs and finished 2-for-3 with a double and two walks.

The Saints logged 10 hits. Farmer, Thompson, Josh Williams and Rodney Morton each had multiple hits for Scotland Christian.

Scotland Christian hosts Liberty Christian at 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

Lady Saints roll past Gators

Scotland Christian’s softball team defeated Antioch Christian 16-2 on Thursday.

Sailor Hill led the Lady Saints with a 4-4 clip at the plate, including a pair of doubles and two runs scored. Alyssa Katerovich scored three runs for Scotland Christian. Sarah Decker was 2-for-4 with a double and one run scored.

In the circle, Alyssa Seabolt tallied nine strikeouts for the Lady Saints.
