Saints register top-3 finishes at jayvee tournaments

Scotland Christian Academy’s boys basketball team won the championship at the Carolinas Christian Athletic Association conference tournament over the weekend.

FAYETTEVILLE — Scotland Christian Academy’s jayvee basketball teams had successful runs at the Carolinas Christian Athletic Association tournament over the weekend, as the boys finished in first place and the girls finished in third.

The jayvee boys defeated Temple Christian 55-43 in the championship game. Scotland Christian’s Lacota Locklear earned an all-conference nod.

The jayvee girls secured their third-place finish by defeating Antioch Christian 34-30 on Saturday. Toni Farmer scored 13 points for the Lady Saints. Morgan McMillan added 10 points and four blocks. Lily Cartrette logged eight points and six assists.

McMillan and Cartrette were named to the all-conference team.
