CHAPEL HILL — The Scotland football team will compete in the state playoffs.

Scotland (5-5), the No. 10 seed in the 4A East bracket, will play at No. 7 Durham Jordan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday in the first round of the playoffs, according to finalized brackets released by the NCHSAA on Saturday afternoon.

Durham Jordan (5-6) finished the season tied with Riverside-Durham for first place in the Triangle 6 Conference.

Sandhills Athletic Conference competitors Seventy-First (No. 5) and Jack Britt (No. 12) also landed in the 4A East bracket and will face off for the second time this season on Friday. Jack Britt defeated Seventy-First 23-21 on Nov. 2.

Richmond (10-1) earned the No. 2 seed in the 4AA West bracket. The Raiders will have a bye in the first round, and they’ll play the winner of No. 7 West Forsyth and No. 10 Reagan in the second round.

Pinecrest (8-3) took the No. 6 seed in the 4AA East bracket. They’ll play against No. 11 Panther Creek (6-5) in the first round.
