Who is in charge of Scotland County and North Carolina in general?
I recently relocated here from Georgia and have been unimpressed to this point. With the exception of friendly (mostly) people and favorable weather, I am speechless.
I registered my cars and what costs $20 in Georgia costs over $800 in Scotland county. I assumed that the high fees were a one-time fee for relocating, but no, that is EVERY YEAR.
Where does my money go? It can’t be going toward roads. The roads are in terrible condition. Litter pick-up? Hardly. Have you seen the amount of trash covering our roadways? It can’t be going toward law enforcement. After a burglary committed by a man we hired to do odd jobs, I was told that it would be “his word against mine” and he wasn’t even interviewed —even though he was currently incarcerated on a similar charge AND I had witnesses.
Here it is a case of the inmates truly running the asylum.
