After having read three or for times Robert Currie’s June 11 letter, “Writer’s final words on lies, truth, integrity and saving grace,” I am still trying to figure the point of the comparison of the Electoral College and the impeachment of Bill Clinton. Everyone knows that the Electoral College gives all the states fair representation in an election, and the Democrats are still crying about Donald Trump not winning the popular vote. That has happened four other times, so get over it.

The fact is the economy has gotten better since Trump became president. There is no sense repeating myself, as I previously listed positive things he has done for our economy. What privileged special interests are you referring to, Mr. Currie? Many people who are working now probably do feel privileged and special since they now have a job, something which was more scarce during the Obama administration.

Why do people worry about how much income taxes Donald Trump has paid? He has paid more payroll taxes through his many businesses than the income tax most people have paid. It’s called capitalism, something Liberals just can’t seem to understand. Maybe you need to contact Rachel Maddow of MSNBC to see if she can help you on Trump’s tax returns. The 2005 copy she had of Trump showed he paid 25%, compared to 18.7% for Obama and 13.5% for Bernie Sanders.

Yes, God has used people who aren’t perfect to do His will. King David committed adultery and murder, and the Apostle Paul, who was previously Saul, was responsible for the deaths of many Christians before his conversion. Both of them are responsible for writing much of the Bible.

According the polls, Hillary Clinton was supposed to have won by a landslide. Were the polls really that wrong, or did God intervene the last few days, or both? You make that call.
