Break in
LAURINBURG – A resident of Tartan Road reported to the sheriff’s office that someone kicked in the door of the home and damaged a front door frame, bedroom door, wall, television, Xbox 360, and broke the windows out of a car leaving $1,300 in damages.
Larceny
LAURINBURG – A resident of Covington Street reported to police on Monday that someone stole her bank card and made $800 in charges.
WAGRAM – A resident of Arch McLean Road reported to the sheriff’s office on Monday that someone stole a license tag valued at $36 from her car.
LAURINBURG – A resident of Biggs Street reported to the sheriff’s office on Monday that someone stole checks and cashed them totaling $250.
Robbery
LAURINBURG – A resident of McBride Avenue reported to police on Tuesday that he was walking on North Main Street near McGirts Bridge Road when a man in a dark hoodie with a black and white bandana over his face approached him, brandished a gun and said, “What have you got in your pockets?” When the man told the thief he didn’t have anything the robber walked away.
Vandalism
LAURINBURG – A resident of Dickson Street reported to police on Monday that someone scratched her vehicle and broke a window guard leaving $1,000 in damages.
Arrests
LAURINBURG – Brittany Elvis, 25, of Marston Road was charged with larceny from Walmart and received a $3,000 bond, according to police.
LAUREL HILL – Katheryn Liles Fink, 67, of Sneads Grove Road, was charged with uttering worthless checks, according to the sheriff’s office. No bond information was available.
LAURINBURG – Jennifer Grant, 38, of Strickland Drive, was charged with contempt of court, perjury and court violations, according to the sheriff’s office. Grant did not receive a bond.
