LAURINBURG — There were 32 Scotland High School students inducted into the National Beta Club this week.

The National Beta Club is a service organization dedicated to recognizing and promoting outstanding academic achievement, rewarding and nurturing worthy character, improving student leadership skills, and encouraging service to others.

Inductees are: Ali Andrews, Seth Armstrong, Negie Babor, Grant Burelson, Tyleak Campbell, Courtney Carter, Grant Ciarrocca, Tre’Beon Deviner, Nathan Dubbs, Anna Ferguson, Eric Flores, Willow Holman, Matthew Hyatt, Deandera Jacobs, Katelynn Lopez, Daly Marcano, Brandon McArthur, Ashley McGugan, Grace McIntyre, Sasha Patterson-McLaurin, Keyotta McRae, Kayla Miller, Caleb Monroe, David Pechumer, Nick Pruitte, Karl Rabutan, Rylee Roller, Kaegan Simonson, Allison Smith, Hannah Smith, Megan Vanderhall, and John Zhang.

The 2015-2016 officers were also installed during the program: President Walter Jackson, Vice-President Daniel Johnson, Secretary Tripp Wells, Treasurer Tyler Park Sellers, Historian Cheyenne Carroll, PR Officer Trey Armstrong, and Parliamentarian Donovan O’Donnell. Advisors for the school year are Lynnette Butler, Lisa Evans, and Samuel Marsh.
