Break-in

LAURINBURG — A resident of McRae Street reported to the police department on Thursday that unknown persons had broken into the home by busting a window causing $200 damage before stealing a class ring valued at $400.

LAURINBURG — A resident of Old Lumberton Road reported to the police department on Friday that someone had kicked in his back door causing $200 damage before stealing a 49-inch flat screen, radio and firestick totaling $600.

LAURINBURG — Gene’s Barber Shop on East Cronly Street reported to the police department on Friday that unknown persons had broken into the business by prying open the back door with a crowbar causing $100 damage. Once inside the suspect stole $100 from the cash register and a 9mm Taurus valued at $250.

LAURINBURG — A resident of Turnpike Road reported to the police department on Saturday that someone had broken into his storage building and stole two ATVs. One was located near the victims property but the other is still missing.

LAURINBURG —A St. Andrews University reported to the police department on Saturday that someone had broken into a residence on Dogwood Circle and stole a $30 lamp. The suspect entered through a window and also rummaged through the home as well as breaking a locked door to enter another room. Nothing else was taken.

LAURINBURG —A resident of Turnpike Road reported to the police department on Saturday that someone had broken into her 2012 Chevrolet Malibu and stole a wallet containing a child support card, food stamp card, four social security cards, a drivers license and $250 cash.

LAURINBURG — A resident of Cleveland Street reported to the police department on Saturday that his storage building was broken into as well as his 1997 Dodge Ram. The suspect stole a toolbox with an assortment of tools totaling $305.

LAURINBURG — Police responded to a residence on Marcella Street Sunday after a call of the front door being open. The officers found the door open and found no one inside. The residence was was vacant but furnished and it appeared that whoever had been inside the house had rummaged through it. Nothing was reported missing at the time.

Larceny

LAURINBURG — A resident of Sunset Drive reported to the police department on Saturday that $300 damage was done to his 2009 Toyota Camry and stole a $600 rifle from the front seat.

LAURINBURG — A resident of Marcella Street reported to the police department on Saturday that unknown persons had stolen five $20 bills from her 2019 Volkswagen Passat.

LAURINBURG —A resident of Woodbridge Drive reported to the police department on Sunday that someone had stolen a mountain bike valued at $174 from outside the residence.

Vandalism

LAURINBURG — A resident of Dunbar Drive reported to the police department on Thursday that unknown persons had caused $200 damage to the windshield of his 2000 Mitsubishi by shooting it with a BB-gun.

LAURINBURG — A resident of North Caledonia Road reported to the police department on Saturday that someone had damaged two window screens on his residence and a window totaling $300.

LAURINBURG — A resident of Marcella Street reported to the police department on Monday that unknown persons had broken the rear window of the residence causing $300 damage.

Shooting

LAURINBURG — A resident of Jackson Street reported to the police department on Saturday that his house was struck by bullet causing $300 damage.

Counterfeit

LAURINBURG — Domino’s Pizza reported to the police department on Saturday that after delivering a pizza to a home on Wilson Street the driver got back to the restaurant and noticed they had used a counterfeit $20 bill.

LAURINBURG — McDonald’s reported to the police department on Sunday that a male had tried to use a counterfeit $100 bill to pay for his food. The male told officers he had gotten it from the Laurinburg Food Mart earlier in the day. Later Sunday morning McDonald’s reported to the police department again that someone had used a counterfeit $20 bill to pay for food at the drive-through.

LAURINBURG — Speedway on South Main Street reported to the police department Sunday that someone had used a counterfeit $50 and $20 bill to pay for items in the store.

Arrest

LAURINBURG —Kadedra Ellison, 22, of Kennedy Street was given a criminal summons Friday for simple assault. She was served and released.

LAURINBURG — Heather Davis, 22, of Maple Street was arrested Friday for simple assault and communicating threats. She was released on a written promise to appear.

LAURINBURG — Terrell McLean, 24, of Sugar Road was arrested Sunday for assault on a female and communicating threats. He wasn’t given a bond.
