McQueen named fire chief

LAURINBURG – The city of Laurinburg announced today the promotion of Lt. Jordan C. McQueen to fire chief, succeeding Randy Gibson, who retired on Aug. 31.

“Jordan has been a key part of the success of our Fire Department and we are thrilled to promote him to this important position,” said City Manager Charles Nichols.

McQueen officially begins his duties on Friday.
