No one injured

in fire at Lowe’s

LUMBERTON — A fire in Lowe’s Home Improvement Friday was caused by “a shortage in a light,” according to Lumberton Fire Chief Chris West.

West said it was a “minor fire confined to some boxes.” In addition, no injuries were sustained during the fire.

The store remained open Monday, but some repairs were left to do, according to the fire chief.

“The investigation may have sparked some speculation, but nothing malicious was found,” West said.
