LAURINBURG — The Laurinburg/Scotland County Area Chamber of Commerce is now accepting entries for the 2021 Jackson’s Diesel Service Annual Laurinburg Christmas Parade. The Christmas celebration begins Dec. 4 at 3 p.m. and the final deadline for parade entries will be Nov. 18.
“The Christmas Parade has always been one of my favorite Chamber events and we are excited for Jackson’s Diesel Service to support and share the tradition of the Annual Laurinburg Christmas Parade,” said Chamber Executive Director Chris English. “Their support of the parade over many years speaks to a deep-rooted love for this community and the traditions we share.”
The parade committee also announced that this year’s grand marshals will honor the local first responders from Laurinburg Fire Department, Laurinburg Police Department, Scotland County EMS and Rescue, Scotland County Sheriff’s Office and Scotland Health Care System.
“We are proud of our local first responders and the continuous sacrifices they make for our community. They are true hero’s and deserve to be recognized with this honor,” stated English.
The parade will begin at the corner of Railroad and South Main streets and will end at South Main Street and Plaza Road. The entry fee and registration are due Nov. 12. The entry fee will double for any registration received after Nov. 18.
