ABERDEEN — A former Scotland County Sheriff’s Deputy was booked into the Moore County jail on Wednesday on a charge of simple assault, according to jail records.
Tina Marie Strickland, 40, of 393 Shepherd Trail in Aberdeen, was released on an unsecured bond.
Strickland was one of several deputies fired by former sheriff Shep Jones on Nov. 25. She was re-hired by current Sheriff Ralph Kersey on Dec. 22, and was terminated from Kersey’s administration on March 13.
