Break-in

MAXTON — A Laurinburg resident reported to the sheriff’s office on Sept. 11 that unknown persons had broken into a barn on North Highway 71 and stole an air-compressor, grinder, two electric saws and a box of assorted tools totaling $750.

GIBSON — A resident of Main Street reported to the sheriff’s office on Sept. 12 that someone had broken into the residence and stole a cellphone, 32-inch TV, a vehicle key and apartment key totaling $280.

MARSTON — A resident of Aberdeen Road reported to the sheriff’s office on Monday that unknown persons broke into his motor vehicle and stole a handgun valued at $370.

Larceny

LAURINBURG — A resident of Southwood Drive reported to the sheriff’s office on Sept. 6 that someone had stolen $6,600 of assorted jewelry from the residence.

WAGRAM — A resident of Riverton Road reported to the sheriff’s office on Friday that unknown persons had stolen a trailer valued at $600.

LAURINBURG — A resident of Parliament Avenue reported to the sheriff’s office on Sunday that someone had stolen their burgundy Chevrolet Traverse.

LAURINBURG — A resident of Laurel Hill Church Road reported to the sheriff’s office on Monday that unknown persons had stolen a 5×12 aluminum trailer valued at $2,500.

LAUREL HILL — Academy Lawn Care of Old Wire Road reported to the sheriff’s office on Monday that someone had stolen two backpack leaf blowers valued at $1,600.

Vandalism

LAURINBURG — CSX reported to the sheriff’s office on Monday that someone had vandalized a front end loader tractor and excavator tractor that were located on Commonwealth Avenue.

Arrest

LAURINBURG — Frankie Crosland, 56, of Duncan Street was arrested Monday for assault with a deadly weapon and communicating threats. He wasn’t given a bond.

LAURINBURG —Devon Bridges, 29, of Charlotte Street was arrested Monday for communicating threats, cyberstalking and injury to personal property. He wasn’t given a bond.
