The new Maxton Chamber of Commerce began the Christmas season with a Holiday Gala and Fundraiser Saturday. The theme for the event was “Building a Foundation for a more Prosperous Future for Maxton, NC.” Many honored guests, town leaders, town officials and business owners were able to celebrate and network. The festive event included Christmas music, Christmas games, door prizes and dinner. The guest speaker was Mayor-Elect Bethea McDougal.
