I think salmon is the kind of fish you could do anything to and it would still taste good — and make you feel like you’re being healthy.

So that’s what we’re doing today, but this is a honey orange salmon. Yes, I’ve done a honey-themed salmon before and I’m doing it again — only this way is a little different. The last time was a honey chili salmon, so it had a kick. This one is perfect for y’all who hate the kick.

It’s nice and flavorful, but you still get the salmon taste.

Something I learned with this recipe is that you have to let the orange slices sit on the salmon for a little bit to get the orange flavoring. I left the orange on overnight for my next day lunch and it honestly tasted better reheated, because I had left the orange slices on and you could really taste it.

The salmon also pairs great with cheesy asparagus, because you want to continue thinking you’re being healthy, right? I mean I’m 90 percent sure this recipe is pretty healthy, but I don’t actually know. All that matters is that I feel like it’s healthy, right? Right.

Also just so everyone knows, I almost always have some type of fish in my freezer. Typically it ranges between salmon, trout and tilapia and, honestly, I’ve found trout and salmon are interchangeable. It just gives a slightly different taste, and tilapia you can throw just about anything on it and it’s good.

I think that’s why I like fish so much is because it’s so easy to fix and it’s hard to mess it up. However, I fear that one day when I try and recreate the key lime salmon I had at a restaurant months back is when I will mess it up. Which is why I haven’t tried that yet. But if you like salmon and see key lime salmon on the menu, get it.

Back to the reason you’re here the honey orange salmon here’s the recipe hope you enjoy it!
