A group of elves were scattered along Main Street in downtown Laurinburg on Monday morning, braving the cold and rain to string lights on the 76 Christmas trees that line the sidewalks. The elves are part of the ‘Tis the Season group that will kick off six weeks of holiday activities starting on Sunday with ‘Christmas on Main.’ The trees have been adopted by individuals, businesses and organizations and are expected to be fully decorated before Sunday.
