Break-in

LAURINBURG — A resident of Butler Street reported to the police department on Tuesday that unknown persons had broken into the residence by damaging a door. The suspect stole two 55-inch televisions, a 32-inch television, and a city of Laurinburg trash can totaling $1,480.

LAURINBURG — A resident of Morris Street reported to the police department on Tuesday that someone had broken into the residence and removed two televisions valued at $1,200. There was no sign of forced entry or damage to the residence.

Counterfeit

LAUREL HILL — The Hardee’s on Andrew Jackson Highway reported to the sheriff’s office on Tuesday that someone had come into the store and used counterfeit money to purchase their items.

Robbery

LAUREL HILL — The sheriff’s office responded to a call on Tuesday of an armed robbery. On Marston Road the victim was robbed by a suspect with a gun and stole the car from the victim. The suspect also took the victim’s wallet, cell phone and vape totaling $262.

Arrests

LAURINBURG — Tiffany Brooke Berry, 25, was given a criminal summons on Tuesday for simple assault and communicating threats.

LAURINBURG — Paula McPherson, 26, of Airbase Road was arrested Tuesday for negligence/child abuse, improper care/child abuse, failure to store firearms to protect a minor child, maintaining a dwelling place for storage of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia for Schedule IV drugs. She was given a $30,000 bond.

LAURINBURG — Larry LaQuinton McIntyre, 41, of Marston Road in Laurel Hill, was given a criminal summons Tuesday for communicating threats and assault by pointing a gun.

LAURINBURG — Maurice DeAngelo Bostic, 21, of Fairmont Street was arrested Tuesday for assault by strangulation. He was given a $15,000 bond.

LAURINBURG — Timmon Dudley, 20, of Hickory Street was arrested Tuesday and charged with breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and financial card theft. He was given a $15,000 bond.

LAURINBURG — Michael McLean, 23, of Tucker Street was arrested Tuesday for breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and financial card theft. He was given a $15,000 bond.
