LAURINBURG — After almost a month of break-ins on the north side of town, two men have been arrested in connection with the offenses.

According to Laurinburg Police Capt. Chris Young, the break-ins happened between on July 9 and Aug. 3 around Old Lumberton Road. Since July 9 there have been about 10 break-ins, including some on Britt Street, Sanford Street and Cooper Street.

The areas targeted have been both residential and churches.

Arrested were 19-year-old Lekeithan Tyson of Cooper Street and 27-year-old Terry Knight Jr. of Britt Street.

Tyson is charged with two counts of breaking and entering and two counts of larceny after breaking and entering. He was given a $30,000 bond

Knight was charged with one count of breaking and entering and one count of larceny after breaking and entering. He was given a $15,000 bond.

The investigation is still ongoing and additional charges and arrests are possible.
